The Enterprise Customer Excellence Group (ECEG) brings together customer-focused functions from across the enterprise to provide a holistic approach to critical points of interaction with Wells Fargo customers. The group, which includes the Enterprise Complaints Management Office, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence and Net Promoter System, is responsible for understanding the causes of issues that affect customers, and providing solutions that ensure customers' needs are understood and supported. The group is also accountable for ensuring regulators' expectations are met and that team members have the tools and training necessary for success.

The Customer Remediation (CR) Center of Excellence develops and implements consistent enterprise standards for remediating commitment-to-customer issues across our consumer lines of business. The organization enables more effective and coordinated monitoring, reporting and stakeholder communications. Enhancing our practices and outcomes for customers is a critical part of building a better Wells Fargo.

We have an immediate need for a highly skilled Analytic Consultant 2. This Analytic Consultant will play the critical role of leveraging business systems and database knowledge to create and document Execution Output files on populations of customers who were harmed and in need of remediation.

Specific duties and responsibilities of the role include, but may not be limited to:

  • Analysis of complex/high risk customer remediation issues to understand customer harm for multiple lines of business, including, but not limited to Small Business Lending (SBL) Personal Lines and Loans (PL&L), Education Financial Services (EFS) and Deposit Products Group(DPG)
  • Querying databases via SAS to create execution output on populations of harmed customers
  • Identifying internal and external data, and mining data across multiple business sources
  • Identifying new methodology/data sources, and recommending strategy changes or process enhancements
  • Working with data validation teams to ensure analytical accuracy
  • Translating business language to technical requirements, location of data, archives, etc.
  • Maintaining necessary processes, controls, and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Utilizing business systems to research transactions on deposit accounts
  • Profiling data to identify outliers, quality issues, and inaccurate data
  • Developing in-depth knowledge and expertise for SBL, PL&L, EFS or DPG
  • Delivering execution output and required documentation to remediation leads and execution leads
  • Creating Waterfall illustrations of customers in scope for each remediation
  • Profiling data to identify outliers, quality issues, and inaccurate data

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 2+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both
  • 2+ years of SAS programming experience
  • 2 + years of experience gathering business requirements from various sources including end-users and stakeholders
  • 2+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 2+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Ability to translate and present complex technical data across technical and non-technical groups
  • Experience developing well-defined plans for problem resolution from preliminary or ambiguous information
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Experience identifying internal and external data sources from multiple sources across the business
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 2+ years of combined experience in using some or all of the following systems: Helms, SHAW, ECaR, FDR, Hogan.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the Wells Fargo Customer Remediation (CR) policy and the process of remediating harmed customers in accordance with the CR policy
  • Experience defining and documenting Business and Technical Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of processes and procedures for preferably for SBL, PL&L, EFS or DPG.
  • Wells Fargo Small Business Lending, Personal Lines and Loans, Education Financial Services, or Deposit Products Group experience
  • Expertise in data profiling and research
  • Experience leading data analytics projects
  • Hands-on experience working with large and complex data
  • Solid understanding of data platforms, data architecture, and database design with emphasis on Oracle databases, SQL Server, and SQL databases
  • Previous experience working with data marts, data lakes, or enterprise level data systems
