Under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Manager, the Coder/Biller is responsible for review, and/or coding, and timely billing of professional physician claims for KHA. This may include Primary Care, Endocrinology, Pain Management, Neurology, Vascular, Cardiovascular and Endovascular procedures for multiple sites. Responsible for communications to/from physicians to ensure accurate procedures and services are captured in a timely manner. Incumbent must be able to work independently and in a Team environment.


HS diploma required; 1 year managed care or other health care experience preferred; minimum 1 year coding experience of physician claims, any specialty; coding certification through AAPC, AHIMA or other national accreditation agency; strong verbal/written communication skills; coding/billing system experience preferred; familiar with ICD-9, CPT & HCPCS codes and modifiers, Medical Terminology; knowledge of online eligibility verification systems.
