The Executive Medical Director will work closely with the Governing Body, Managing Director, Accountable Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Senior Management Team and Clinical Chair to deliver the CCGs' strategy and business plan and determine the acquisition and deployment of resources to achieve these objectives. We are an ambitious group of organisations with big plans for the health of local people. This role is an internal leadership role, focussed on supporting and line managing Clinical Leads working within the CCGs so they can focus us to achieve a number of goals including being responsive to localised service user needs, being better able to respond to changes in the wider health sector and working closer with our partners to achieve the best quality services for our communities. You will be required to work four to six sessions per week which must include Tuesday and Thursday to coincide with Governing Body and Clinical Lead days. Although this role is not currently a Governing Body role, the post holder will be required to attend Governing Body and committee meetings. The three CCGs have a very diverse demographic profile and significant levels of depravation and health inequalities which offers both a challenge and opportunity to drive through a consistent improvement in health outcomes.
