As a Principal Consultant, you will lead or participate on client teams for Infosys Consulting that will be responsible for problem definition, solution design, development and deployment for major transformation initiatives.
As a thought leader in the Power Utilities domain, which includes Distributed Energy Resources and Non-Conventional Energy, you will be a key advisor to solution design reviews, and will be on point to help clients define and realize expected value. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the rapidly transforming business model of the utilities industry. This job requires skills and experience in one or more of the following areas: Customer Information Systems for utilities. Meter Data Management, AMI, and load forecasting / profiling. Digital and mobility solutions for utilities. Field Area Network solutions for utilities. Responsibilities: Lead/drive requirements gathering workshops for blueprint design purposes. Lead business process design workshops. Develop and execute implementation plans based on a thorough understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC), both Waterfall and Agile. Manage client interactions and expectations; demonstrate subject matter expertise, address client needs, provide value propositions, and manage resource requirements. Manage individuals and teams; track and direct performance against objectives, create an atmosphere of trust and collaboration, and encourage improvement and innovation. Identify issues, risks, and project team conflicts, to develop a timely resolution. Serve as liaison between client, project team, development team, and other stakeholders. Review status, manage schedules, monitor progress, and prepare status reports. Work with pursuit teams to develop proposals and present and orals for transformation engagements. Develop and mentor senior consultants, consultants and analysts in the Infosys Consulting Utilities practice. Provide thought leadership to enhance tools, templates and IP for Infosys Consulting. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required. U.S. citizens and those already authorized to work in the U.S. Infosys is unable to sponsor visas at this time. 7-10+ years of experience in business process consulting or direct utilities industry experience. Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communications skills. Strategic thinker who pays attention to detail, but isnt afraid to roll up his/her sleeves and do what is required to get the job done. Creative problem solver. Passion for transforming our clients businesses to unlock value for their shareholders, clients, and partners. Ability to travel up to 5 days a week to multiple local, state and/or national client locations. Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team, including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project skills. Basic project management skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with a top-tier consulting organization. Advanced degree from top-tier university.
