MORE ABOUT THIS JOBDuties: Associate-Intermediate/Vice President with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, NY. Develop Java applications for the Futures Clearing Trading Team on global distributed platform. Interface with internal clients/end users and other development teams. Translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered business applications based on object oriented design. Involvement in the complete project life-cycle-analyze, design, develop, test, install and maintain information systems. Implement testing for all the applications supported by the team. Maintain high level of quality for any releases to production. Analyze and implement performance enhancement for our Java applications. Demonstrate proficiency in Java, Sybase, DB2, and Unix. Engage in code review of team members and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Ensure team is following development best practices. Work with a global team as part of development work. Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) Job Requirements: Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field, plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have seven (7) years of experience with: Java; C++; and Linux. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Modern Integrated Development Environment (IDE), such as Eclipse or Intellij. Must have two (2) years of experience with: any Testing framework; a scripting language, such as Python or Bash; SQL; and Windows. Must have one (1) year experience with software version control systems, including Subversion. Must have previous experience/involvement in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) starting from requirements gathering, analysis, design, code implementation, unit test implementation, integration/user acceptance test, actual code release, and maintenance/bug fixes.
