Job Description

Marketing Operations empowers our marketing and partner teams to unleash growth velocity. By managing our marketing channels, we continuously optimize user touch points with growth and campaign marketers. With our partners in Product, Analytics & Insights and more, we strategically align to build systemic solutions that enables marketers to ideate and test concepts. All with a relentless focus on the best experience for our users.

The Marketing Operations Manager oversees our transactional emails and closely partners with our growth and creative teams to design, build and implement transactional emails. A successful Marketing Operations Manager maximizes email utilization while balancing the needs of users and internal stakeholders using a measured approach.

Basic Qualifications

* 5+ years in email marketing driving channel optimization and insights
* Attention to detail, with an ability to identify issues and implement remedies
* Working knowledge of HTML to make email template adjustments and articulate more complex needs to developers
* Experience with Marketing Platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Localytic)
* SQL and/or other query language
* Scripting (e.g. AMPscript, Liquid)
* Passion for velocity, enabling the team to scale through superior project management
* Analytic orientation and curiosity, using insights to drive your next course of action
* An understanding and administration of email testing best practices
* Superior communication and copywriting skills
* Experience supporting a large stakeholder team (we're global and distributed)
* Self-motivated, with a drive to exceed user expectations and enable marketers
* Thrives in ownership, as our resident email expert

* Drive email template optimization and best practice adoption
* Manage each email build end-to-end, ensuring flawless execution and quality assurance
* Traffic emails utilizing targeting capabilities while balancing against business goals
* Run split and multivariate tests, ensuring test protocols are administered to minimize bias
* Implement and audit all analytic encoding to enable channel effectiveness
* Drive channel reporting and run adhoc analysis when requested
* Ensure all emails conform to CAN-SPAM, COPPA, VPAA, GDPR and other legal or compliance requirements
