CTG has an immediate need for a RadNet/PAC's/MUSE Analyst for a 6 month contract for one of our healthcare clients in Southern California. Travelers are allowed (M-Th), expenses are covered in addition to the pay rate.
The Clinical Informatics Analyst (RadNet/PAC's/MUSE) is primarily responsible for supporting clinical departments and technologies they utilize. This person is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating systems and solutions based on clinical user needs. This person is responsible for working with clinical users to define current state workflows and develop future state workflows that meet clinical needs and that are technically relevant. In addition, this person is responsible for documentation of user incidents and requests, progress against fulfilling incidents and requests, user and technical requirements, and system design. This person relies on experience and judgment with a degree of latitude in carrying out duties including leading small, low complexity projects. Responsible for delivering high level of customer service based on user needs in a manner that is aligned with clinical workflow and priorities. The Clinical Informatics Analyst II is knowledgeable of and adheres to commonly used Information Technology concepts, practices, and procedures including relational databases and client server concepts.
RadNet/PACS/MUSE experience required, must be familiar with the design/build/implementation and maintenance of the Radiology Department Applications.
A minimum of three years' experience in Information Technology or four years' experience in Information Technology and clinical healthcare operations, required. Experience and demonstrated proficiency in application design and configuration, required. Two or more years of Cerner Millennium application experience, preferred. Three or more years' experience in clinical healthcare operations, preferred.
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Health Administration, Informatics, Nursing or other healthcare program, strongly preferred.
Application expertise by achieving proficiency in one Cerner Millinium solution and familiarity in three or more applications that are outside of the core EHR. Clinical / business acumen, which encompasses having an understanding of the users environment, functionality requirements, and workflows and applying that knowledge to daily activities. Critical thinking, which encompasses objective analysis, systematic evaluation of the problem, followed by development of solutions to solve the clinical / business problems. Effective meeting management for small groups, including development of action oriented agendas, meeting facilitation, documentation of meeting outcomes, and tracking of action items. Ability to retain knowledge gained in formal training and advance that knowledge through research, troubleshooting, and industry networking. Technical expertise and acumen by regularly utilizing Information Technology concepts, practices and procedures such as use of command prompts, pinging of IP addresses, debugging, etc. Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint with an ability to independently research and continue to learn and advance knowledge of these applications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work with a diverse population.
