The Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Customer Enablement team is a growing team of advanced specialists that provides operational and strategic support to a specialized group of accounts ranging from universities, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
As the Strategic Initiatives Program Manager for the Customer Enablement team, your initial focus will be on creating the strategic framework from which the Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) organization will drive cost optimization initiatives for our customers. This will include partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Business operations to develop programs and processes to better enable our customers to take advantage of AWS products and services in the most cost efficient manner. You will work some of the largest and fastest growing public sector customers by engaging with their Enterprise IT, Operations, and Finance teams to implement best practices for cloud adoption while accessing all available cost savings.
You must be a self-starter, comfortable working directly with customers, and experienced in leading cross-functional initiatives and programs.
Role & Responsibilities:
Develop scalable programs and success metrics to drive initiatives around cost optimization for WWPS
Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Lead Development, Marketing, and Business Operations to deliver on multiple optimization strategies along the customer lifecycle journey
Develop training and documentation that the organization and customers can leverage at scale
Deep research and analysis to provide data based insights to the AWS sales teams to help win or grow sales opportunities and help key customers understand opportunities for optimization and cost savings
Simplify complex issues, provide customized reporting and effectively communicate in depth analysis to AWS customers
Gather insights from the business, develop opinions and present solutions to sales leadership, and be the advocate internally for customer experience issues
3+ Experience with cloud billing and optimization
5+ years of technology related sales, technical sales, enterprise cloud and/or business development
3+Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze large data sets, create financial models, and simplify complex data
Proven experience developing and leading large scale programs or initiatives
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams
Proven experience working with sales to optimize the selling experience
BA/BS degree required
25% Travel required
